5 Star Academy Learning Center

We offer a variety of programs to meet your child's needs, including full-time and part-time care, preschool, and after-school programs. Our experienced teachers provide a safe, supportive, and stimulating environment for your child to learn and grow.

Our facilities are designed to provide a comfortable and engaging atmosphere for children of all ages. We have age-appropriate toys, books, and equipment, as well as outdoor play areas and a nutritious meal program.

Our dedicated and caring staff are passionate about early childhood education and have the experience and qualifications to provide high-quality care. We maintain teacher-to-child ratio to ensure individual attention and support.

We understand the importance of working together with parents to support each child's development. Our parent resources include regular communication, parent-teacher conferences, and access to our online parent portal.

5 Star is a faith-based academy. We try to make our experience unique and inclusive for all. Because of this, we do not celebrate birthdays or holidays at our center. We do, however offer an unforgettable experience and fun dress up days in place of these things.

Mrs. Kisa is the Owner, operator and director of 5 Star ALC! She is the heart and soul of the company! Not only does she plan and implement some of our wonderful school events, but she is also the brains behind the business.

Mr. Josh, has been here since day one, helping Mrs. Kisa with the opening and operations of 5 Star Academy. He is the boots on the ground making sure that the building is running at 100% and that classrooms and teachers have any and everything they may need to help your child get the most out of their education experience. 

Mrs. Shantell much like Mrs. Kisa and Mr. Josh has been here since day one. If Mrs. Kisa is the brains, and Mr. Josh the feet, Mrs. Shantell is the spine. She helps keep everything upfront organized and managed and is another important figure to the business.

Ms. Alaina began working at 5 Star 5 years ago. She has been everything in the school from a teacher, cook and her most important role, team lead! She is the brains behind a lot of our school dress up days and works with teachers daily to ensure that the children are getting quality education. 

Grandma is the heart and soul of  5 Stars Kitchen! She makes sure that the children have nice, DELICIOUS, full breakfast, lunch and snack at the school. She always has the front office smelling great and the kids eating up everything on their plates!

Mrs. Audrey has been working at 5 Star ALC for 5 years now. Starting off in the preschool room as the Lead Preschool teacher, she worked in the classroom until receiving her degree in early childhood education becoming a second 4K teacher and is now in office managment. 

Mrs. Jackie has been with 5 Star Academy for 10 years now! Not only is she one of the first Infant Lead teacher hires, but our oldest Infant teacher veteran! We love her almost as much as the babies do!

Mrs. Danielle began at 5 Star about 5 years ago. After taking a hiatus during Covid, she returned with a spark of energy for her Toddlers! Mrs. Danielle's pride and joy is working with our toddler class! You won't find anyone else better to love on your babies.

Ms. Earlen is one of the newest long-term members to join our team at 5 Star. Her outgoing and charismatic personality made her a great addition to the duo of Mrs. Danielle and Ms. Dior in the toddler room.  

Mrs. Layla has been with 5 Star academy for 2 years now!  After working here for the summer program, she fell in love with education and the children and decided to stay and transition to a full-time teacher. She is currently pursuing a degree in Nursing at Midlands Tech.

Ms. Dior began at 5 Star academy 3 years ago as a summer camp counselor and just couldn't stay away! Once her summer program ended she volunteered while off from school and after her graduation from Highschool and Midlands Tech as a dual enrolled student, she began her permanent position in the Toddler Classroom.

Ms. Melanie started as our Lead 4K teacher 3 years ago and has brought a tremendous value to our team. She has been teaching 4K for over 6 years and has received her degree in Early Care and Education as well as several credentials including but not limited to Special Needs, Preschool and Medical Assistance. She is the first part of the dynamic duo we have teaching our 4K class.

Mr. Jones has been with 5 Star Academy for 3 years as Co-teacher to Ms. Melanie, making the second half of our dynamic 4K duo! Mr. Jones prides himself on taking the time to learn and explore the kids whether they are hunting down insects for a new study or are learning about a new sport in the classroom. He has found such a joy in teaching that he has decided to pursue a degree in Early Childhood Education at Midlands Tech. 

Mr. Keith has been with 5 Star Academy for 3 years as the Lead School-Age teacher! Whether he's assisting children with homework activities, or teaching them about the wonderful joys of music.
